BIORESTORE Restore Cotton doesn’t clean clothes - it helps to restore (minimum 70%) cotton items at a fibre level. Their enzyme technology helps to RESTORE your worn cotton items by helping to remove pilling, restore colours and revitalise prints. It is not a fabric colouring.

How do I use Restore Cotton?

Select suitable cotton garments & separate by colour, Use 1x40g sachet per 1 kg of garments (equals approx 5 items) 
Add Restore Cotton directly into the washing machine drum, wash at 40°C / 104°F for at least 1 hours, tumble dry or line dry (rinse with a small amount of regular detergent before line drying).

When selecting items to be laundered with BIORESTORE, it is important to avoid clothing or fabrics which show signs of:
󠁯•󠁏 Weak, worn or thread bare appearance
󠁯•󠁏 Thin or very lightweight / delicate cotton clothing
󠁯•󠁏 Holes, including needle holes at pockets or on embroidered logos
󠁯•󠁏 Towels should not be washed with BIORESTORE Cotton, as the enzyme action is designed to smooth and remove fibres, resulting in towels with reduced nap, pile, texture & volume

BIORESTORE is not always a miracle worker, as there are certain things it can't fix including:

󠁯•󠁏 Stained or bleached clothing
󠁯•󠁏 Holes or frayed edges
󠁯•󠁏 Worn or cracked plastic prints

Before: Colours are washed out, clothing is dull, and the surface is covered in pilling & bobbles giving a rough texture.
After: Colours can be refreshed & vibrant, pilling & bobbles can have been removed renewing the clothing surface with a smoothed hand-feel & appearance.

How to choose the garments for treatment?

The darker coloured item, the more visible effect. Minimum 70% cotton composition is needed for the enzymes in the BIORESTORE cotton to work. Avoid very weak, thin, or hole-damaged cotton; the holes and frays can become enlarged. Do not use on towels, as enzyme action reduces nap and texture. It is also not recommended for linen garments. Do not mix different coloured cotton garments in one wash cycle, just as in a regular laundry wash the colours may wear off. 

Can I use this product in both hand wash and machine wash?

Restore Cotton is designed only for machine washing. Add the sachet contents into the drum directly and run a 40°C cycle for best results. Do not add laundry detergent in addition as it will stop the enzymes from working properly.

No, Restore Cotton product is not optimal for this purpose. It works the best on darker colours that have been used for a long time, are washed out and has pilling or bobbles. Please firstly ensure you used the product carefully as instructed on the BIORESTORE box. The product will only work successfully on items with minimum 70% cotton and please note that the visibility would be higher for restoration on darker coloured items. We offer reuse, repair, remake in the 23 STUDIOS across Europe, and once you use the services you will be rewarded the BIORESTORE Restore Cotton as a gift with purchase April 1-30, 2026. Restore is something we currently do not offer as a service in the studios, but it is offered as a gift with purchase to bring awareness to RE.UNIQLO STUDIOS. We constantly evaluate partnerships and future opportunities to expand our services; hearing our customers' feedback on this campaign and the product is something we value highly, to ensure we constantly evolve in line with our customer demands.
